One of the central features of Cascade Meadow Ranch is its 4.5-acre lake. The lake contains trout, bass, and bluegills, and additional bass are periodically added to boost the population. Members of the community enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating, picnicking and bird-watching at this popular site. A half-acre pond greets visitors as they enter the ranch, and its pink lily pads flourish. Both bodies of water attract geese, ducks, osprey, eagles and heron. Both have also been outfitted with "dry hydrant" fixtures to convert them into supplemental sources of water in the event of a fire.
